There is a winner for the "The Darkness II Contest", I must admit the choice didn't come as a surprise to me since after I saw that entry the first time that was exactly what I tought: This is gonna win it. I've read comments from other about it, from the positive ones to some negative ones. I think the 1st place (2nd and 3rd too) deserves it fairly and just but I must agree with those who feel unconfort in some points too like: rules didn't specified that entries had to be 100 % finished (inks, color, boxes); it's true, professional level for publishing expects this quality but it's also true that professional publishing comics have one person per task: artist (when is traditional art), inker, colorist, letterist.
Have to think in traditional vs digital art too; you can see 3D models on the 1st place entry but hey! Jim Lee still sells and his pencils amaze anyone even when there's some stunning digital art out there right? At the end, if there's a winner there must be a loser and in a contest like this there'll also be those who get mad or angry.
Excellente competition tough, excellent expirience and motivation to keep on working and expand skills.
Greetings to everybody, congrats to the winners and to all conestants. Peace.
P.S. Have to work my avatar ton make it fit in there.
